Man Utd pull out of Marko Arnautovic deal – Ghana Latest Football News, Live Scores, Results

Manchester United have decided to end their pursuit of Bologna striker Marko Arnautovic and pursue other targets instead, 90 minutes understand.

The Red Devils’ interest in the Austrian striker emerged late on Sunday after their dismal 2-1 home defeat to Brighton to kick off the new season.

However, after holding talks with Bologna over a transfer, United have decided not to agree a deal for the former West Ham man.

90 minutes previously reported that the Serie A side had set a price tag of €15m but that proved to be a stumbling block for United who were unwilling to pay more than €10m for the player 33 years old. Both the Bologna coach and director of football admitted publicly on Monday that they expect Arnautovic to stay.

United will now look at other attacking options on the market, and one of the players they are considering is Watford winger Ismaila Sarr.

The Senegal international has been linked with a move away from Vicarage Road for the past two seasons. He began his campaign in the Championship after relegation in fine form, scoring from his own half in a 1-1 draw at West Brom on Monday.

While a deal for Arnautovic is off, United are still making progress with talks for Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot, with talks with his mother Veronique expected within the next 24 hours.
