Spartan Football Season Ticket Renewals Now Available



Michigan State will keep football season ticket prices the same for the seventh straight year.

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Returning Michigan State football season ticket holders can begin renewing their season tickets for the 2022 season through the Spartan ticket office.

For the seventh consecutive year, season ticket prices will not increase and will remain at $49 per game ($343 for the seven-game home season) plus purse premium. The scholarship awards also remain the same.

“Football season ticket holders are extremely important to our department and our ability to support all of our student-athletes,” said Alain Haller, Michigan State Vice President and Director of Athletics. “After a 2020 season played in front of mostly empty stands, the return of the Spartan fans in 2021 provided us with a great advantage on the pitch. They supported us when we needed them most, and the decision not to raising ticket prices or seat premiums is a sign of our appreciation and gratitude.We are excited for another great year of Michigan State football at Spartan Stadium.

The Spartans announced their 2022 schedule on Jan. 12, which features seven home games, including five Big Ten contests at East Lansing. MSU opens the season on Friday, Sept. 2 against Western Michigan, followed by another non-conference home game a week later against Akron on Sept. 10. The Big Ten roster begins Sept. 24 against Minnesota and continues into October against Ohio. State (October 8) and Wisconsin (Homecoming, October 15). MSU will host Rutgers (Nov. 12) and Indiana (Nov. 19) to close out the home schedule in November.

Recent MSU graduates (who graduated within the past two years) can purchase up to two tickets for only $245 per seat, while season admissions for current MSU students are also available now for $185.

Seasonal parking passes ($210) can be requested from the Spartan ticket office. Parking locations will be selected in mid-July based on Spartan Fund donor priority. For more information, please visit

After an 11-win season and national top-10 ranking in 2021, the Michigan State football team is set for another successful season in 2022. Spartans return 46 Chick Team Letter Winners -fil-A Peach Bowl Champion last year who also went a perfect 6-0 at home, including the quarterback Payton Thorne, who set a school record in a season with 27 touchdown passes; first-team All-America wide receiver and all-around player Jayden Roseau; and captain Xavier Hendersonwho started 33 straight games safe.

Led by the 2021 Big Ten Coach of the Year, Mel Tuckerthe Spartans will begin spring training on March 15. The spring game is scheduled for Saturday, April 16 at Spartan Stadium.

Michigan State Athletics thanks all of its football season ticket holders for their dedicated support of Spartan football. The Spartans ranked in the Top 25 in attendance again in 2021, ranking 17th in the FBS with an average of 70,135 fans per game (420,808 over six games). MSU has ranked among the NCAA’s top 25 entrants in each of the past 65 seasons (excluding 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions).
